Awaz Bharti’s Radha Bhargava (Shriya) locks horns with Josh 24x7’s Dipankar Sanyal (Jaideep). She returns to the forefront, after being jailed thanks to Dipankar, to seek vengeance by destroying Dipankar’s brand of journalism. This time, she is prepared to engage in unorthodox methods to purge the corrupt system. In Radha’s absence, Ameena (Sonali) shoulders the responsibility of fighting the battle of truth alone, uncovering the truth amidst personal risk.

The full cast of The Broken News includes Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Indraneil Sengupta, Faisal Rashid and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya. Sonali Bendre has also worked in movies like Sarfarosh, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Duplicate. Jaideep Ahlawat has also worked in shows Paatal Lok and movies like Gangs of Wasseypur, Raazi and Vishwaroopam.
The creator of the series is Vinay Waikul, who has also created shows Mission Over Mars.
